To be eligible to register for the CertHE in Common Law you must:
Normally be aged 18 years of age or older before 1 September in the year you register with the University and
Be admitted to a course of instruction at a teaching institution which has been recognised for this purpose by the University of London.
The LLB (hons) admission criteria is:
Either two subjects at GCE A level and at least three further subjects at GCSE or GCE O level.
Or three subjects at GCE A level (one of which must be at least grade D or above)
Or three subjects at GCE A level and one further subject at GCSE or GCE O level (at not less than grade C)
Or two subjects at GCE A level and two further subjects at AS level.
A good level of competence in English.
A Bachelors degree from a local university is also acceptable.
The LLM Admission Criteria is:
An LLB degree from a recognized university
A Bachelors degree from a recognized university even in a non law field (for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma Programme)
Incase a student does not have a Bachelors degree, then for gaining admission in the Postgraduate Certificate Programme, he/she must have completed their A levels (or equivalent) and must be able to show at least 5 years of work experience
Students are advised to apply at the earliest to the University of London as the application process may take a few weeks.
