“I am currently a PhD researcher at Tilburg University, where I am focusing on the human rights regulation of Artificial Intelligence. My journey to this role has been significantly shaped by the comprehensive training and exposure I received at the School of International Law (SIL). During my time at SIL, I had the invaluable opportunity to engage deeply with practical legal work through the law clinic, which provided hands-on experience in tackling real-world legal issues.
Moreover, the various work placements and internships provided by SIL were pivotal in honing my skills and understanding of the legal landscape, particularly in relation to human rights cases. These experiences have equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the complex intersection of AI and human rights in my current research.
The support I received from the administrative team at SIL, including Ma’am Nida and Sir Sikandar, was instrumental in my development. Their guidance and encouragement were crucial in helping me seize various opportunities and overcome challenges. Their unwavering support has been a cornerstone in my academic and professional growth, enabling me to reach where I am today.”
